IHello, My name is Rosita Carbajal. This is my second semester here at Delaware County Community College. I'm here to pursue a nursing degree. I currently work for Neighborhood Hospice as a nursing assistant. I have been there for 2 years. It is a very difficult journey, but what can I say? I love what I do.
I have 4 beautiful children. Adrian(10), Iliana (6), Sophia(4) and Gregory(2). They are the reason for me trying to move forward. It is very hard to work full-time, parent full-time and be a student full-time. I just take one minute at a time. I'm engaged to the most incredible man that I could have laid eyes on. He is everything that I am not. When I'm not working or in school, I love spending time with my family. We are very family oriented for the most part.
My father is Mexican and my mother is American. My father and my mother separated when I was 6. My father remarried and raised both me and my sister, my 2 half brothers, and his wife's 2 children from her previous marriage. We were a full house. My step-mom spoke no English at the time, so we had no option but to learn how to speak Spanish. I went on vacation to Mexico when I was 15. I stayed for about a month and a half. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I also love flowers.I enjoy Longwood Gardens. I usually go a few times a year, especially for the Orchid extravaganza. The orchid is my favorite flower. You will see flowers throughout my portfolio.
